Marco Mayer's Summer Recommendations
International Trading
1. What Are Your Recommendations On How To Trade Forex This Summer? What Should Be The Trader's Tasks In August? What Should We Prepare Before Leaving For Holidays?
I’ve seen both, summers where literally nothing happened and summers where the markets were completely crazy. You have to be prepared for both, when things slow down, so do I. So if the markets don’t offer good opportunities just take that time to relax and enjoy the summer. If you want to improve your trading you should review past trades and see if you can improve certain skills. While you’re not trading is a great time to work on psychological issues, take some more time for meditation and improve mental skills.2. What Book Do You Recommend Us To Read This Summer?
“Trading is a Business” by Joe Ross. Another good one for this summer might be “The Black Swan” by Nicholas Taleb.3. What Should We Do When Returning To The Markets In September And What Is Your Forecast For The Major Currencies In Q4?
Start slowly when you didn’t trade for a while and use the fresh start to start out with new ideas and new objectives on what you want to do better. I’ve got no forecast for any currency, I just trade what I see, and right now I don’t know what I’ll see in September!
